In terms of ratings, I do agree with you that UConn and Navy

add nothing to the ACC. However, in terms of quality football programs, I do disagree with you about Navy. I don't think Navy would contend for division or even conference championships. However, I do believe Ken Niumatalolo has rebuilt Navy football into a solid program that would be expected to finish middle of the pack every year. It would be similar to Ole Miss and Miss State in the SEC. Even though both programs may compete for a division/conference title once in a blue moon, people generally expect them to finish middle of the pack (at best) most years.

If Navy is able to .500% of its bowl games against the P5 schools, then I would be fine with the ACC adding Navy as a football-only member. In theory the ACC would eventually retain the rights to Navy-Notre Dame game and Army-Navy game for years Navy is designated the "home" team. I understand that Navy won't boost the ratings, but maybe that isn't such a big deal in the long-run. Ideally though I would prefer to see Army and Navy in the same football conference. The game is already special as it is now, but making it a conference game and potentially impact division/conference championships could take it to another level.
